What is Pilates?

Pilates is a body conditioning method that works differently than other fitness techniques. Pilates is based on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable. Targeting deep postural muscles, Pilates works by building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. Pilates reshapes your body, which will become toned, leaner, and longer. Pilates will also improve your posture, achieving a perfect balance between strength and flexibility. It is also a great way to relieve unwanted stress and tension. Pilates uses precise, controlled, and flowing movements which provide long-term results.

Our Pilates Program

We believe in a classical-systematic-integrative approach to Pilates training. Clients follow a system of exercises using various apparatus such as a mat, reformer, chair, Cadillac, barrels, magic circles, and ped-o-pul. By teaching in this manner, clients find the connection to their core. Finding this connection will completely change their body and rid them of their chronic weaknesses. A systematic approach facilitates instruction and makes progress easier for the client.

Power Pilates

Power Pilates Teacher Training

Mission

The standard in Pilates education - Power Pilates program is based on the principle that before working the peripheral parts of the body, the core needs to be strong and stable. We believe in a classical - systematic - integrative approach to Pilates training, where a client has the ability to follow a system of exercises utilizing different apparatus - Mat, Reformer, Chair, Cadillac, Barrels, Ped-o-Pul, and Magic Circles. By teaching in this manner clients will find the connection to their core, which will completely change their body and rid them of chronic weaknesses. By utilizing this systematic approach, teaching becomes much clearer for the instructor and therefore easier for the client to progress and reap the benefits from a Pilates workout.
